Are you planning a trip? The most important things to take with you!

Are you in the process of planning a trip after a long period of Covid travelling restrictions?

Use our list below, in order to include all necessary staff in your luggage!

Couple of months before your scheduled trip verify that you hold a valid passport. If passport has expired then you would have the time to update. In the meanwhile do your investigation about any visa requirements, depending on your target destination.

When you are travelling abroad it is wise to hold an additional proof of ID document, either in hard copy or scanned in your email. This will save you time and effort if you happen to loose your passport or you need a proof of ID and you have left the passport at the hotel.

It is also advisable not to keep your passport with you when you are scrolling around by metro, buses, trains or on foot.

Most of times we book our flight tickets on line and the same applies when we make reservations for bars, restaurants theatres.

It is practical to keep these confirmations in your mobile and be accessible upon request. This will certainly save you time and avoid any misunderstandings.

Before leaving for your dream destination don’t forget to exchange cash at the local currency of your destination.

Of course you certainly need credit and debit cards to hold with you as well. In this case don’t forget to notify your bank about the country you will be visiting to avoid any card blockage for security reasons.

Finally make your investigation and choose cards with none or small commissions on foreign currency transactions.

Travel insurance is of utmost importance when travelling especially abroad where your local insurance health program probably doesn’t cover you.

There are plenty of choices online that you can scan through and decide before leaving home.

At the same time make sure you have a small pharmacy kit with you including medication that you are probably required to take on a regular basis and some painkillers, imodium or something similar, handkerchiefs etc.

Couple of months before travelling, don’t forget to check if there are any specific required vaccinations, as it applies for certain destinations.

Mobile maps are absolutely helpful especially when travelling alone and not with an organised travel group.

Digital maps navigate you easily to your hotel, restaurants, bars, theatres, shops, monuments and any travel attraction. At the same time you get alternative routes by train, car, bus or on foot.

Actually with mobile maps you can go everywhere by any means of transportation or on foot from the very first moment you arrive to your destination!

Mobile phone chargers, powerbanks, camera chargers and memory cards cannot be left outside your luggage. Make sure you get chargers for all your electronic equipment and remember to carry in your bag a usb cable while scrolling around at your destination in order to charge your equipment during the day in trains, buses, stores.

Finally don’t leave outside; walking shoes, travel-sized toiletries, glasses, sunglasses, folding umbrella, sunscreen and hand sanitizer.
